Our Practices: Our pigs are integrated into our crop fields, where they help till and eat back the weeds. They have lots of space and a big old wallow. We collect feed for our pigs from EFAA Food Bank, Niwot Elementary School, and Fritz Brewery, to help repurpose human food waste into meat and healthy topsoil and keep it out of the landfill!

Our Practices: We rotationally graze cattle and dairy goats together to mow down and target “weedy” species, in order to set the stage for revegetating degraded land. When they are not eating a diversity of “weeds” (which we know are the most nutritious plants!) or cover crops, we bale graze them to build soil fertility. They have lots of space to roam and get moved at least weekly!
This meat is dry aged. Most grocery store meat is packaged and aged wet to bolster the weight – that means, a lot of what you are paying for is water! Dry aged meat is much more tender and flavorful, and it shrinks less when you cook it.
